A community advocate who loves this city
Farmington is an incredible place to live, and I’m committed to keeping it that way.

Farmington is an incredible place to live, and I’m committed to keeping it that way.
I’m Kristen Sherlock, a longtime Farmington resident, mom of four, and community advocate who loves this city. I’m running for Farmington City Council because I want to preserve what makes Farmington special while preparing thoughtfully for the future. As a member of the Farmington City Planning Commission, I’ve worked to ensure responsible growth that protects our neighborhoods, supports local businesses, and makes it possible for future generations to afford homes here.
In 2023, I co-chaired the Farmington Bay Stake Float Committee and helped the team earn the coveted Theme Award for our float in the Days of '47 Pioneer Day Parade. In 2024, I hosted the Davis County Community Spotlight podcast, with the help of the students of the Davis School District’s Catalyst Center, to showcase our small business owners, nonprofits, and authors, highlighting and supporting their work. I currently serve on the Davis County Youth Hockey Association Board of Directors to provide a competitive developmental hockey program that can compete regionally and nationally.
Farmington is an incredible place to live, and I’m committed to keeping it that way. With your support, I’ll work to preserve our small-town feel while preparing for smart, responsible growth. Together, we can create a future where our families, businesses, and neighborhoods continue to thrive.

I officially announced my candidacy for Farmington City Council at the Farmington Festival Days in July 2025.
Having been a resident of Farmington for 8 years, I have witnessed the growth and the changes our community has experienced. I was particularly drawn to the opportunity to serve on the Planning Commission 2 years ago because of its crucial role in reviewing, providing recommendations, and making decisions on planning and zoning issues that directly impact the well-being and prosperity of our residents.
My educational background is in Environmental Design-Urban Planning from the University at Buffalo (New York). I was equipped with the analytical and problem-solving skills essential for effective planning. I am confident in my ability to understand complex issues and consider various perspectives, which contribute to the collaborative decision-making process of the City Council.
Furthermore, my work experience in real estate investments and sales, as well as my volunteer work with Safe Harbor and in my contribution to my local church congregation, has honed my passion for community service and instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility towards the betterment of Farmington.
My time on the Planning Commission, as well as participating on an ADU subcommittee, showed me how valuable my experience is needed to actively engage in the government decision-making process, ensuring that our community continues to thrive and evolve in a sustainable and inclusive manner. The fiduciary duty and Code of Ethics that I uphold as a Realtor for my clients will be the same for the residents of Farmington.
If you are interested in knowing how my perspective, dedication, and passion for one of Utah's best communities will contribute positively to your life, I would like to discuss with you my candidacy further. <3
Hi friends, if we haven’t met in real life, my name is Kristen. I live here in Farmington with my husband Stephen, our four kids and two dogs.
We're born and raised in Upstate New York & Toronto, Canada and chose to call this place our home!
You've probably seen me a lot on social media. That’s because I love telling stories and selling homes…and to be honest, eating tacos and Nice Cream.
Here's a little bit about me.
My favorite café shop is Café Torino, on Main St. in Farmington, I cannot resist a NiceShake from Aubergine in Station Park, and one of my favorite date spots with Stephen is taking a walk along Lagoon Trail. I love the Full Moon at EverBowl. We love to ice skate as a family at the SDRC in Bountiful where my sons play hockey, ski at Snow Basin Resort in Mountain Green and Nordic Valley in Eden or hike the local canyons.
I love to ride my e-bike on the Rio Grand Trail and I'm learning to play pickleball with my friends Sarah and Melanie.
I’m a Honda Pilot girl, and I've owned three!
I like social media and websites like this because it allows me to make new friends, but there’s an odd phenomenon I've observed that doesn’t seem to happen as easily offline....you see everyone else' highlights (or only post your own highlights) and you begin to think being regular, trying your best, not knowing everything, or not having the latest is…is not good enough.
Which, we all know is not true!
So, here’s something I want you to know about me:
I’m actually just a regular mom and wife, and I’m far from perfect.
My laundry room is not always clean, our house isn’t always picked up, and sometimes dinner is takeout. I’m learning how to be a better mom to our kids, love my husband, honor God, and serve my customers and the residents of Farmington a little better as I get better.
If you're still reading, I hope you take away one thing from my ramblings: Remember it's okay to not be perfect, it's okay to be human!
Maybe one day we can go back to the days when we didn't feel pressure to look perfect online or offline. Back when we posted grainy photos of fun times and said what was on our minds.
Wasn't that the whole point of social media, websites and blogs anyhow?
I like social media and websites like this because when it's used well, it allows us to connect with each other. I love making friends with amazing people who live in Farmington-- people like you who are navigating parenting, job changes, relationships, moving, and all the things of life. The good stuff and the messy stuff.
If you live here in the Farmington and Davis County area, I'd love to be friends.
